The pre-wedding evening — barefoot in Palma
By the time everyone arrived in Palma, the air already carried that soft, golden warmth that only exists by the sea. The pre-wedding evening wasn’t planned as an event in the traditional sense, it was more of a gathering. Something effortless. Something that could only really happen in a place like this. Set right on the beach, the scene unfolded slowly. Shoes were the first thing to go. Guests drifted between the shoreline and the tables, drinks in hand, the sound of waves blending into conversation. The light stretched long into the evening, turning everything golden, skin, linen, glass, even the quiet moments in between. Laura arrived wearing something simple, something that moved with the wind. Not yet a bride in the traditional sense, just completely herself. Sam was already there, barefoot in the sand, greeting people like they had all just arrived for the same summer story. At one point, someone ran into the water. Then another followed. And just like that, it turned into one of those evenings no one plans but everyone remembers. Dinner felt secondary, plates passed around casually, conversations spilling over each other, no clear beginning or end. Someone lit candles, though they were barely needed against the fading sky. As the sun dipped lower, the music started. Not loudly. Not all at once. Just enough to pull people closer.
There was no schedule, no announcement, no moment that marked “this is where it begins.” It simply unfolded into laughter, into dancing, into that rare kind of presence where no one is thinking about tomorrow.
The morning of — soft light, quiet joy
Laura’s morning was calm in a way that felt intentional. The room filled with soft natural light, wrapping everything in a quiet stillness that made even the smallest moments feel significant. There was no strict timeline pressing in, no sense of countdown, just space to be present. One of her closest friends did her makeup, the kind of moment that felt far more personal than any formal setup ever could. They moved unhurriedly, talking, laughing, falling into comfortable silences. It didn’t feel like “getting ready” in the traditional sense. It felt like being surrounded by people who knew her best, holding that space with her.
A lot of her attention, though, was on Luna. Just six months old, and already at the center of everything. Laura spent long stretches of the morning with her, holding her, playing with her, occasionally stepping away from the preparations entirely just to be in that moment. There was something grounding about it. A quiet reminder of what this day was really about, beyond the ceremony, beyond the celebration. She wasn’t nervous. If anything, she seemed completely at ease, present, happy, and genuinely excited. The kind of excitement that doesn’t come from anticipation alone, but from knowing you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Sam’s morning carried a different kind of energy, a little more movement, a little more noise, but just as grounded. He got ready with his closest friends and his dad, the atmosphere easy and familiar. There was music playing somewhere in the background, drinks being poured, jackets half-buttoned as conversations drifted from one topic to another.
At some point, they made their way to the pool. Suits not fully on yet, shirts slightly undone, sunglasses appearing, it turned into one of those in-between moments that didn’t feel staged, just lived. A drink in hand, laughter echoing, the kind of anticipation that builds quietly rather than all at once.
But underneath it, there was one clear feeling. He couldn’t wait to see Laura. Not just at the ceremony, but fully, completely, as she would be that day.
The ceremony — full of feeling, full of them
The ceremony felt like stepping into a story that had been unfolding long before this moment. Amanda, their celebrant, guided everyone into their story, not as a formal retelling, but as something warm and familiar. The kind of storytelling that pulls people in quietly, until suddenly everyone is part of it. She spoke about where it all began, the in-between moments, the way their lives grew into each other. People laughed, not politely, but genuinely, loudly, at the kind of details only close friends and family truly recognize. And just as quickly, those same people were wiping away tears, caught off guard by how much it all meant.
Somewhere in the middle of it, one of the sweetest moments of the day unfolded. Laura’s sister, Emma, walked in carrying baby Luna. Six months old, completely unaware of the weight of the moment and yet somehow at the very center of it. There was something incredibly tender about it, watching her being brought forward, held so gently, so naturally woven into the ceremony. At the end of the aisle, Sam was waiting. And the second they reached him, the formality disappeared entirely. He greeted them not with restraint, but with warmth, kisses, hugs, a kind of joy that couldn’t be held back. It set the tone for everything that followed.
Their vows carried that same balance, deeply emotional, but never heavy. Both Laura and Sam brought humor into their words, the kind that only works when it’s rooted in truth. They made each other laugh mid-vow, dissolving any remaining tension in the most natural way. And just before handing the microphone over to Sam, Laura closed with a soft ‘no pressure’, a line that instantly sent the whole crowd into laughter.
By the time they finished, it didn’t feel like a ceremony that had been watched. It felt like something everyone had experienced together.
The cocktail hour & dinner — where the energy took over
After the ceremony, the day shifted almost effortlessly into celebration. The cocktail hour unfolded naturally, with guests gathering around drinks as Los Rock Hunters filled the air with timeless classics. It didn’t take long before listening turned into dancing, a few people at first, then more and more, until the energy quietly took over and the party had already begun.
Dinner carried that same atmosphere forward. Totapunt Catering served an incredible meal, but the focus was never just on the food, it was on the shared moments around the table, the constant laughter, the feeling that no one really wanted to sit still for too long. In between courses, the room filled with stories. Laura’s dad, Kevin, spoke with warmth and emotion, followed by Sam, whose words felt just as heartfelt and grounding. The evening then took a turn with Christian and Scott, whose speech slowly and very intentionally stretched into a full 25-minute moment that blurred into something closer to a drinking game, pulling everyone into the fun. Somewhere along the way, Castle on the Hill by Ed Sheeran came on, loud and impossible to ignore. Within seconds, people were on their feet, forming a circle, arms around each other, singing at the top of their lungs. It was one of those moments that defined the entire night.
You Do Something to Me — The Start of the Night
The evening officially began with Laura and Sam’s first dance, a moment so intimate and emotional it was impossible not to feel it. As “You Do Something to Me” by Paul Weller filled the space, everything seemed to slow down for a second. You could see it on them, the weight of the day, the meaning of the moment, it all caught up in the most beautiful way. Even from behind the lens, it was hard not to get a little emotional.
And then, just like that, the energy shifted. The dance floor opened, and what followed wasn’t a party that faded in and out, it was constant. Full, loud, and completely unfiltered. From that point on, Laura and Sam, along with everyone around them, danced like they had nowhere else to be, pushing it all the way into the early hours of the morning.
Motion, as it felt
Some moments are meant to be seen, others are meant to be felt in motion. Laura and Sam’s wedding was full of in-between glances, movement, and energy that naturally unfolded throughout the day. The kind of moments that don’t sit still, that live in gestures, in laughter, in the way everything shifted from quiet anticipation into celebration.
Their films capture exactly that. Not just how the day looked, but how it moved, how it sounded, and how it was experienced from within.
