Our Approach

A documentary approach with a guided editorial edge.
We focus on what is real - honest moments, natural movement, and the in-between while offering gentle direction to create refined, editorial imagery guided by light, composition, and intuition, always effortless, never forced or overdone.
Our approach is built on balance. We observe what naturally unfolds and document it with care, without forcing or interrupting genuine moments. At the same time, we’re not afraid to step in when it matters.

FAQ
How far in advance should we book our Mallorca wedding photographer and videographer?
Most of our couples book 12–18 months before their wedding, especially for popular Mallorca dates between May and October. If you've already chosen your venue or wedding date, we recommend getting in touch as soon as possible to check our availability.
Do you photograph destination weddings outside of Mallorca?
Yes! While Mallorca is one of our favourite destinations, we photograph and film weddings throughout Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Portugal, Austria, and across Europe. We're always happy to travel wherever your love story takes you.
Do you help with the wedding timeline?
Definitely. After photographing and filming destination weddings across Europe, we know how important good timing is. We're happy to help you plan your timeline, recommend the best time for portraits around Mallorca's beautiful sunset light, and make sure everything flows naturally without taking you away from your guests for too long.
Do you travel fees or hidden costs?
No. Our pricing is completely transparent. Travel throughout Mallorca and VAT are already included in our collections, so you won't have to worry about unexpected costs after booking.
Do you photograph intimate weddings and elopements in Mallorca?
Absolutely. We love everything from multi-day destination weddings to intimate elopements and small celebrations. Whether you're exchanging vows on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean or celebrating with 150 guests at a finca, we approach every wedding with the same care and attention.
Can you recommend other wedding vendors in Mallorca?
Yes! Over the years we've worked alongside some incredible wedding planners, florists, celebrants, makeup artists, musicians, and venues throughout Mallorca. We'd be happy to recommend trusted professionals to help bring your wedding vision to life.
Do you use drones at weddings in Mallorca?
Yes, whenever the venue, weather conditions, and local regulations allow it. Mallorca's dramatic coastline, mountains, and fincas provide the perfect setting for breathtaking aerial footage that adds another cinematic layer to your wedding film.
Can we book engagement or pre-wedding sessions in Mallorca?
Of course! Mallorca is an incredible location for engagement sessions. Whether you envision the cliffs of Deià, the beaches of Alcúdia, the streets of Palma, or the mountains around Sóller, we'll help you choose a location that suits your story.
Why should we choose a local Mallorca wedding photographer and videographer?
Choosing photographers and videographers who are familiar with Mallorca means benefiting from experience with the island's unique light, weather, landscapes, and venues. We know how to make the most of Mallorca's stunning locations while keeping your wedding day relaxed and enjoyable.
When is the best time of year to get married in Mallorca?
Mallorca is beautiful year-round, but May, June, September, and October are especially popular thanks to the warm weather, golden light, and pleasant temperatures. These months are ideal for outdoor ceremonies and sunset portraits.
What are the best wedding venues in Mallorca?
Mallorca is home to some of Spain's most spectacular wedding venues, including Son Marroig, Finca Son Bí, Son Togores, Finca Comassema, Es Fangar, Son Berga, and Castell de Bellver. Whether you're planning a luxury finca wedding, a historic estate celebration, or an intimate seaside ceremony, we're happy to share recommendations based on your vision.
How much does a wedding photographer and videographer cost in Mallorca?
The cost of a Mallorca wedding photographer and videographer depends on the length of coverage, the experience of the team, and what's included in the collection. Most destination wedding couples invest in professionals who can capture the entire story, from morning preparations to the dance floor, while delivering timeless photographs and a cinematic wedding film. At Aurora Borealis Weddings, our collections include travel throughout Mallorca and VAT, so you'll never have to worry about hidden fees starting from 3500EUR.
Is Mallorca a good destination for a wedding?
Absolutely. Mallorca is one of Europe's most sought-after destination wedding locations thanks to its Mediterranean climate, breathtaking coastline, mountain landscapes, luxury venues, and excellent accessibility from across Europe. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement or a three-day celebration, Mallorca offers unforgettable settings for both your wedding and your guests.
Do you know the best photo locations in Mallorca?
Yes! Beyond the wedding venue itself, Mallorca is filled with stunning portrait locations. We love the dramatic coastline around Deià, the mountain scenery near Sóller, the charming streets of Valldemossa, the beaches of Alcúdia, and the elegant architecture of Palma. We'll happily recommend locations that match your style and wedding timeline.
Why should we book the same team for photography and videography?
Choosing one team for both photography and videography creates a much smoother experience. As a husband-and-wife team, we work seamlessly together without competing for moments or interrupting your day. The result is a consistent visual style across both your photographs and your wedding film, while allowing you to stay fully present with your family and friends.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day in Mallorca?
Mallorca enjoys fantastic weather for most of the wedding season, but if rain appears, there's no need to worry. We always adapt to the conditions, make use of beautiful indoor spaces or covered areas, and embrace the atmosphere to create timeless, emotional photographs regardless of the weather. Some of our favourite wedding images have been captured on unexpected rainy days.
How much does a destination wedding in Mallorca cost?
The cost of a destination wedding in Mallorca depends on your guest count, venue, and the experience you want to create. Most couples spend anywhere from €20,000 to €80,000+, while luxury celebrations can exceed six figures. Your biggest investments are usually the venue, catering, planner, photography and videography, flowers, and entertainment. We always recommend investing in experienced vendors who understand destination weddings and know Mallorca well, ensuring your day runs smoothly and your memories are beautifully preserved.
How do you plan a destination wedding in Mallorca?
Planning a destination wedding is much easier with the right team. Most couples start by choosing their venue and wedding planner, followed by booking their photographer, videographer, celebrant, and other key suppliers. We always recommend allowing plenty of time for your wedding timeline, especially if you'd like sunset portraits. Mallorca has an incredible selection of venues and experienced wedding professionals, making it one of Europe's easiest destinations for planning a wedding abroad.
Where are the best places to elope in Mallorca?
Mallorca offers endless possibilities for intimate weddings and elopements. The dramatic coastline around Deià, the mountain landscapes near Sóller, the charming streets of Valldemossa, the beaches of Alcúdia, and the elegant old town of Palma all provide stunning backdrops. Whether you dream of exchanging vows by the sea, in the mountains, or at a secluded finca, Mallorca offers unforgettable locations for every couple.
Can foreigners get married in Mallorca?
Yes, although the legal requirements depend on your nationality and residency status. Many international couples choose to complete the legal paperwork in their home country before travelling to Mallorca for a symbolic ceremony. This option offers much more flexibility while allowing you to celebrate in one of Europe's most beautiful wedding destinations.
